BioInfoServ Live is a completely free, open source, configurable and powerful Live Linux operating system designed as a bioinformatics platform for biologists. It is based on the Deepin Linux, Xubuntu and Linux Mint distributions. BioInfoServ has been highly customised for scientists who want to handle and analyze biological data on an open platform, optimized for the i386 hardware. BioInfoServ Live is distributed as a single Live DVD ISO image, supporting both the 32-bit and 64-bit architectures. It’s designed to run directly from the live media.
