AustenX Description

AustenX is an open source and free graphical software written in the Java programming language, and designed to act as a parser generator based on Parsing Expression Grammars (PEGs) AustenX has numerous features, among which we can mention tokenisation, for better memory usage, exclusion of memorisation for particular PEG rules, the ability to avoid full memorisation completely, and improved implementation for handling left-recursion that makes sense of the order of options. The project also provides strong functioning support for rules with indirect and direct left-recursion, which works without or with memorisation, as well as extensions to the PEG framework, which allow for semantic parsing. Being written in Java, AustenX is a platform-independend application that supports the Linux, Windows and Mac OS X operating systems. It supports both 32-bit and 64-bit architectures.
