AmLog Description

A web (Django) based amateur radio logbook. AmLog is a web-based amateur radio logbook. Will "eventually" be the perfect thing to run at a radio event where there are many operators. There is a demo server http://logbook.dontclickonme.com/. The username and password are both DEMO, those credentials will also allow you to get into the admin interface http://logbook.dontclickonme.com/admin.This program saw it's first version last year during a scout radio event (JOTA), since then it has been completely re-written and re designed. The program has been designed for use by scouts during short radio events, (1 day to 3 days). Where multiple stations can be run in a single room. It can be run on a single laptop and shared over a network, it does not require the internet.Logs can be merged, this feature was included because sometimes the group that this software was designed for splits into two halves who are at completely different locations geographically. The software can be run at both places simultainusly and the log file can be merged afterward (there is currently no documentation for this.) If the default SQLite3 is used the logs can be transfered and backed up easily onto a pendrive etc.It works from instide a web browser, so no speical software is needed apart from on the computer it is running from. It's remains usable from mobile devices like PDAs or PSPs that include wifi. There is a lot of development planned, and the application, although at it's most stable and advanced yet, is still not fully functional. Requirements: · Django
