Extension for reading and learning languages The Alpheios Basic Libraries extension provides the basic functionality for the companion Alpheios Latin Tools and Alpheios Greek Tools language-specific extensions.The Alpheios project is developing tools to facilitate self-directed, corpus-based language learning. The tools will provide the user with access to language resources targeted specifically to their learning needs and goals, integrated seamlessly into their reading environment. The intended user base are students and teachers from secondary school onwards, and ultimately our goal is to offer the pedagogical and scholarly communities a suite of tools and an open-source code base from which a wide variety of more specific tools and pedagogical applications can be developed with minimal effort. Requirements: · Mozilla Firefox What's New in This Release: · Added support for multiple languages within a page. The language of the selected word is detected from the 'lang' attribute on the containing element. · Also added an keyboard access key for the Language toolbar button: alt+l on Windows/Linux and ctrl+l on Mac OS X.
